In order to form your own Limited Liability Company (LLC) you must contact the Secretary of State in the state where you wish to operate. Most states have a website where you can download the necessary forms and the instructions on how to complete them. If you can follow instructions you can form your own LLC.

 

1. Contact your Secretary of State's office or go online to find the website.

 

2. Download a copy of the required forms and instructions on how to file the forms.

 

3. Check the fees necessary to file the forms.

 

4, Complete and sign the forms.

 

5. Send the forms with your check for the filing fee to the Secretary of State. Request that they send you a certified copy when the filing is completed.

 

6. Wait for the Secretary of State to return your Certified Copy of your LLC's Articles of Organization.

 

The Secretary of State in your state will provide detailed instructions on how to file your required forms.
